About this Blog
You can read below for the original intent of this blog. I started this back in 2007 when I was newly married, went out to eat at least twice a week, and made fantastic dinners for friends and family. Flash forward six years. I have a three-a-half year old girl and fifteen-month old boy. While we still get out to eat more than we should, our dinner time has drastically changed. However, thanks for a friend’s advice and a great book, I learned something very important: I don’t have to feed my kids chicken nuggets and hotdogs for every meal. And now I have something new to write about!
My husband set me up with the website about a year and a half ago. Since then I have come up with about 100 different ideas of what my first post would be, but never an idea of what the overall theme of my blog would end up being. But fear not, on my way into work one day I had an epiphany: I was thinking about the great restaurant we went to the night before with friends and how fantastic our meal was. That led me to start thinking about all of the wonderful meals we’ve had over the years together either at great restaurants, or making them at home. At least once a week I come in to work excited to tell my co-workers about the delicious meal we had and revel in all of the details. Do you know where this is going? Do you? I bet you do.
Welcome to my very own version of the “Gourmet Diary of a Foodie”. This will be my forum to talk in detail about food and wine and friends and restaurants, and what a large role they all play in my life. Enjoy and as always, Eat Well!
Side note: this site isn’t a restaurant review site, and I would really make a terrible food critic. I’m not going to spend a lot of time describing the restaurant décor or wait staff unless it pertains to the food story.
